Peer review process

How every paper is checked and reviewed before it is accepted.

Every paper submitted to a Robotics Forum conference goes through the same steps. The rules for each step come from the Robotics Forum rules and regulations.

1. Submission

Send your original paper before the paper submission deadline, using the online form or by email. The paper must not be published in any form before or after the conference, and every author must give the correct affiliation inside the paper.

2. Plagiarism check

All papers are checked with plagiarism detection software to verify their originality and similarity. Papers that do not meet the criteria are sent back to the author for changes. If the editor decides that plagiarism is a major issue, the paper is not considered further.

3. Peer review

Robotics Forum accepts each paper for the conference after a peer review by two internal or external Robotics Forum reviewers.

4. Decision and registration

The decision is sent to your registered email address. If your paper is selected, confirm your registration before the last date of registration. Robotics Forum never publishes an unregistered paper.

5. Presentation and proceedings

Registered papers are presented in person or online and considered for the conference proceedings, with an online DOI registered through Crossref.

6. Journal review (optional)

On the author's written request, a paper can be sent to an associated international journal. The paper must be extended by at least 20%, the second-round review takes 25 to 60 days after the conference, and the author pays the journal's publication cost. The journal's editorial board can reject a paper after the second review; the conference registration fee is then not refunded.

Plagiarism after publication

If plagiarism or a fake identity is suspected after publication, the paper is removed until the check is complete. Minor problems can be corrected; serious copyright violations lead to permanent removal and blacklisting of the author.
